Cassidy Early
Cassidy Early (b. 1994, Worcester, MA) is a nonbinary Scottish-American artist living and working in Chicago, IL. They graduated from SAIC with an MFA in Painting in 2020, and from Boston University with a BFA in Painting in 2016. Early’s work has been featured in a solo exhibition with Lauren Powell Projects in Los Angeles, a three-person exhibition with Olympia Gallery in New York, a solo show at Slow Dance in Chicago, and numerous group shows across the Midwest and beyond. Their work was published alongside Garth Greenwell’s essay “Making Meaning: Against Relevance in Art” in Harper's Magazine, as the LVL3 “Artist of the Week” in 2020, and in a profile for Hyperallergic “Cassidy Early and Grieving Through Painting" in 2023. Early is currently a member of a grief collective with four exhibitions across the midwest in 2023 titled The Aesthetics of Loss.
